Infant Jesus School aims to provide an inclusive and welcoming community where the diverse needs of all students are supported. As part of their leadership role, the Year 6 children collaborated to design a bush garden to foster awareness among their peers of our First Nation peoples and their culture. The children researched and then planted Australian plants from the Whadjuk region. This garden is used as a resource for all classes, as it supports curriculum outcomes whilst exploring the Aboriginal peoples' connection to their boodjar, exploring the Noongar seasons and cooking bush tucker.
