Future-Focused Learning

Our Vision for Learning strives to empower students to be passionate and curious, confident and creative, and faith-filled and active in their care for others. While this philosophy aligns with the General Capabilities within the WA Curriculum, observed classroom practices did not always align. To ensure that pedagogical practices supported our Vision for Learning, a three-year collaboration with Lee Watanabe-Crockett was started. Our aim was to develop in teachers, practices that would support Inquiry Learning - purposeful questioning, learning intentions/success criteria, mindful assessment and the challenge of higher-order thinking skills, so giving voice and agency to our students.
