Local Catholic schools are collaborating to create a hub of interconnected learning, leadership, faith and pastoral opportunities to better support students as they transition between primary and high school. Recognising the disconnect that can exist between primary and secondary schools, opportunities for ongoing and meaningful engagement are being developed and delivered. Ministry outreach by secondary students, academic extension opportunities for primary students and authentic audiences for projects has pastoral, learning and leadership benefits for all students. Increased collaboration between primary and secondary schools improves teacher understandings and pedagogical practices ultimately benefitting the student experience.
