COVID-19 taught us to never take going into schools for granted again! Partnerships with parents became more sophisticated and diverse. Finding meaningful ways of keeping our school community connected and supported empowered staff to reach out to parents and children in creative and unfamiliar ways.
With a strong collaborative partnership with our P&F, we began our Sensory Garden. This project symbolised a collective mission and determination to provide our community with an ‘outdoor sensory-based classroom’. It emphasises the importance of providing wellbeing experiences that help calm the nervous system, whilst supporting the diverse learning needs within our school.
