The St Francis Centre at Irene McCormack Catholic College has become the heartbeat of the College, and a cultural and social hub. Initially, the space included four tiny, dark and inauspicious rooms. Now a flexible and dynamic space, it can be transformed in an instant. The initial vision has morphed beyond its original intention of a learning support centre to become a vibrant meeting place of inclusivity and diversity for students, staff and parents. The Centre is named after St Francis of Assisi, who was known for his love of God’s creation in all its beauty and diversity.
