St Francis of Assisi Make Their Move

The Your Move initiative is an active travel program that encourages students to come to school in an active way. The Year Six sustainability team, since 2023, have implemented ‘Walking Wednesday’s and Feel Good Friday’s to encourage active travel. Over the last two years, we have seen a 25% increase in the amount of children actively coming to school. We have held community events, celebrating National Walk and Ride to school day and participated in Bike Month. This program has enabled us to have truly changed the mindset of children and parents about actively coming to school.
