Student Initiative Education

Year 12 identical twins Amelie and Maddie Ong began their writing process in mid-2018. We are proud to submit their novel as a fine example of student initiative in the category of education. The result is a wonderful novel, but also an excellent teaching tool, that would be at home in a HASS, English or Religious Education classroom. Teens from different worlds, but teens with profound messages for students in any school. Maddie adopted the voice of the teen from South Korea and Amelie, the teen from North Korea. Studying History and Religious Education provided a framework for the girls, as they navigated the reality of teenagers exposed to contrasting ideologies.
