Technology Inter School Challenge (TIC) was brainstormed by a group of passionate teachers who wanted to give children a chance to contribute their technological gifts, skills and abilities in a meaningful way. Working together, staff from eight Catholic Primary Schools planned a day centred around the popular children’s book, Uno’s Garden, where students were able to solve tasks using robotics, drones and other technology. Not only did TISC allow children from different schools to meet and share their digital technology passions with one another, but it also saw teachers from across the metropolitan area gather to organise challenges. This networking opportunity allowed teachers to share knowledge and resources with each other, and up-skill one another in an organic and safe way.
