Exploring First Nations Perspectives: Big Ideas Learning through Inquiry is a collaborative project designed to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and perspectives into classroom learning. Created with input from First Nations staff and educators, the resource supports culturally responsive teaching through age-appropriate lessons, discussions, and activities. It empowers students to engage meaningfully with First Nations voices and promotes respect, understanding, and connection across the school community. The project strengthens identity, inclusion, and cultural competence, while aligning with CEWA’s Vision for Learning. It has fostered deeper student engagement and built staff confidence in teaching First Nations content.
