Home and Community Care Partnership

Holy Rosary School’s partnership with Home and Community Care, Derby, fosters meaningful relationships across generations while living out Gospel values of compassion, respect, and service. Through shared activities such as reading, art and craft, storytelling, and celebrations, students develop empathy, communication skills, and a deeper appreciation for the wisdom of older people. By recognising the important role of Aboriginal Elders as custodians of culture, knowledge, and Country, students also deepen their understanding of First Nations perspectives and the value of respecting Elders in all communities. This partnership strengthens inclusion, dignity, faith, and lifelong connections.
