Healing Hearts

Healing Hearts Project was established as a staff Community Service initiative and became the catalyst for the Year 9 Childcare class to expand with an aim to create an ongoing partnership between the College and St John of God Hospital. The project involves the students hand sewing the Healing Hearts from polar fleece fabric, which are then included in grief support packs provided to women through the hospital’s Pastoral Care Services. In return, hospital staff provide students with expert education on safe pregnancy and grief counselling, broadening their understanding of compassionate care and strengthening their connection with the wider Catholic community.
