St Norbert College Year 6 Mathematics Transition – Boot Camp

The innovative St Norbert College Year 6 Mathematics Transition Program – Mathematics Boot Camp has supported an equitable transition into Year 7 since 2015. More than 570 students from over 37 primary schools have participated in engaging games, problem-solving, collaboration and revision, strengthening mathematics while meeting teachers, peers and Year 9 student mentors. A Parent Boot Camp equips families with strategies, insight into Year 7 expectations and ways to support learning at home. The initiative builds academic readiness, belonging and relationships, helping students arrive feeling known, capable, connected and ready to learn. NAPLAN results and testimonials provide evidence of impact.
