Always Was – Always Will Be

Always Was – Always Will Be is a transformative whole-school initiative from St Vincents School, honouring the enduring connection of First Nations peoples to Country, culture, and spirit. Guided by Elder Barry Winmar, FNO Carly Grey, and the student Cultural Team, the project culminated in the creation of a sacred Noongar Seasons Garden and the celebration of NAIDOC’s 50th anniversary. Through storytelling, art, and prayer, students deepened their understanding of identity, reconciliation, and hope. This living expression of Catholic Social Teaching and Aboriginal spirituality has become a powerful symbol of unity, healing, and belonging for the entire school community.
