The Aboriginal ANZAC Memorial was a student led initiative providing the students a voice in their education and a chance to commemorate their history. This project combined Aboriginal culture with War Memorial design principles, leading to a purpose built memorial which honours thirteen Western Australian Aboriginal men who fought for Australia during the Gallipoli landings. Driven by a student descended from one of the soldiers, the project was led by the students, who had experienced real world project management, developed their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and allowed them to leave a lasting impact on our College.
