Mercy College's transformative initiative enhances student and staff engagement through trauma-informed, evidence-based practices guided by their Vision for Learning “Inspiring Futures Together”. By aligning K-12 processes and allowing many opportunities for staff and students to engage, create and provide feedback, they have reduced behaviour issues and increased positive interactions, fostering a supportive learning environment. Strategic professional development focused on behaviour engagement and clear expectations has empowered staff and improved teaching quality. Reflecting contemporary research and student perspectives, this journey supports CEWA's Vision for Learning, creating a safe, inclusive, and collaborative school culture that drives exceptional outcomes for both students and staff.
