Canteen Able

St Joseph’s School in Pemberton exemplifies the mission of Catholic education by fostering an inclusive and welcoming community where the unique needs of individuals are embraced. In partnership with Enable WA, the school provides a meaningful work opportunity for a young man living with a disability. Once a week, he visits the school with his carer to operate the student canteen. This initiative contributes significantly to the school community while building the skills, self-worth and confidence of people who live with disabilities. The ‘Canteen Able’ project reflects the school’s commitment to inclusion, dignity and the Gospel values in action.
