Capabilities for Life

Capabilities for Life is an initiative designed to elevate a whole school approach to preparing future-ready learners. Our Vision for Learning tasks us with ‘igniting curiosity and passion’. This project has seen us develop a Capabilities Framework, drawing on a rich history of engagement in inquiry-based learning. Upskilling staff first, we have embedded the Capabilities into Learning Area Development Planning, taken our Year-7 cohort off-line for a week of deep learning and have embedded the Capabilities into our Wellbeing Framework - The Kolbe Way. We are on a journey to see school-wide change that is both sustainable and future-focused.
