CHAMPIONING OUR KIDS – COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

In collaboration with the Champion Centre in Armadale, Xavier Catholic School has designed a fortnightly program that encourages our Indigenous students to connect with and be involved in community-based initiatives relevant to Nyoongar culture and the school curriculum. The initiative has given our students a greater sense of identity, belonging and being proud of their culture through participation in various events within the Armadale community, as well as sharing their learnings with the wider school community. The initiative has assisted the school’s endeavour to meet the goals aligned to CEWA’s Transforming Lives 2025 strategy.
