Our bespoke Early Career Teacher Mentoring and Induction Program, introduced in 2022, supported our Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and upskilled our newly introduced Extended Leadership Team. With four of our six classroom teachers in their first year of teaching in 2022, it was imperative they experienced effective mentoring, guidance, and support, to reach their full potential. Our ECTs have weekly timetabled meetings offering support, feedback, and ongoing induction. Our unique program saw our Assistant Principal, Principal and identified Mentor Teachers receive leadership training opportunities, in goal setting, feedback, difficult conversations and effective mentoring.
