From Bee-Bots to Big Ideas

St Joseph’s School Boulder is located in the Goldfields, a mining community rich with opportunities for students within STEM industries. In 2025/26, the school sought opportunities to partner with organisations in the region and educational networks to enhance the delivery of STEM learning through curriculum, school events and clubs. What began as a small lunchtime Bee-Bot activity grew through partnerships with the CEWA Digital Learning Team, Evolution Mining and Goldfields STEM, overcoming regional barriers to give students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 access to robotics, engineering and design. Together, students, staff and community partners transformed limited access into lasting opportunity.
