Green Footprints: Building a sustainable community with faith and purpose

At Liwara Catholic Primary School, stewardship is lived daily through action and education. Inspired by Laudato Si’, they nurture a deep respect for creation by embedding sustainable practices across the school. Initiatives at Liwara include all food scraps going to their worm farm; coloured bins to help reduce rubbish going to landfill and increase recycling; students and staff use the green canteen and participate in Australia wide sustainable events. A fortnightly sustainability blog in the parent newsletter and starting their community recycling hub, further embed care for creation. With strength in community, we care for God’s earth.
