Growing hearts, minds and lives through Cafe de La Salle

The De La Salle Café Garden Project embodies La Salle College’s Vision for Learning by creating an inclusive community where every learner is empowered to contribute, collaborate and grow. Senior students are provided with a hands-on experience in café, hospitality and horticultural operations. Students participate in all aspects of the business, including planning, budgeting, food preparation, sourcing ingredients, and growing produce. The program is supported by staff, a purpose-built accessible kitchen, and individualised training opportunities. These learning experiences combine to provide an authentic environment where students are exposed to real-world scenarios and develop job-ready skills preparing them for post-school pathways.
