Growing with the Garden

Sacred Heart Primary School Highgate’s ‘Growing with the Garden’ project is an initiative centred around creating a welcoming and inclusive community space accessed by and connecting students and families across the early childhood classes as well as the wider school community. Designed from children’s innate connection with nature and their interest in plants, the project integrates faith, life, and culture, by providing meaningful and engaging opportunities for the school community to connect with each other and God. Working in partnership with Bunnings, the children and families gathered to build garden beds and plant seedlings to create an edible garden to benefit all in the school community.
