The SES Bears Project is an initiative of the Year 11 Children, Family and Community class, with the aim to establish links to a local community organisation by upcycling fire-retardant Hi-Viz overalls which are not biodegradable and regularly end up as landfill. These uniforms were donated by the SES to Mater Dei College and then made into teddy bears and toiletry bags which were donated to the SES and ultimately distributed to the victims of the floods in the Northwest of WA.
