High School Ready

At Saint Joseph’s School Boulder, we have initiated a High School Transition program for our Year 6 class in 2023. We have consulted the local High Schools in our region, identifying what the greatest challenges are for incoming Year 7 students in their first months at High School, including understanding class timetables, moving between classes, adjusting to different teachers, using combination locks/lockers, and accessing learning through ICTs. In an appropriate Primary School manner, we have adapted our timetabling, staffing and resources to reflect the high school experience to prepare and support our students in their High School Transition journey.
