‘Hikari’ and ‘Shio’ Staff Leadership Programs

The powerful “salt” (Shio) and “light” (Hikari) imagery from Mathew’s Gospel along with our deep connection to Japan through St Maximilian Kolbe’s ministry merged to inspire both the name and the purpose for our Shio Middle Leaders and Hikari Emerging Leaders programs. These programs were born from a desire to value and empower current and aspiring leaders within our community, growing their capacity and confidence. Run annually, each year-long program, open to teaching and non-teaching staff alike, consists of a series of connected, evidence-based workshops underpinned by a personal leadership project. Senior leaders walk alongside participants as leadership coaches.
