Kolbe Season of Creation

Kolbe Catholic College’s Season of Creation initiative united Year 8 and Year 11 student leaders, staff, and the wider community in living Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’. Through cross-year collaboration, students explored the seven Laudato Si’ Goals, researched local sustainability issues, and connected Indigenous perspectives on creation. Learning was embedded in RE curricula, culminating in a whole-school liturgy and leadership at CEWA’s inaugural Laudato Si’ Youth Summit. Students deepened faith, developed leadership skills, and inspired the College to embrace environmental stewardship as an expression of Gospel values, fostering a Christ-centred, child-focused culture of care for our common home.
