Little Lanterns Playgroup

At the beginning of 2024, Assumption Catholic Primary School launched Little Lanterns, a no cost to families, themed weekly playgroup for children aged 0–5, designed to boost community engagement and increase enrolments. Since its inception, it has grown into a nurturing, inclusive space that strengthens connections between families and the school. Parents actively participate, even dressing up to match weekly themes, while children build familiarity with staff and the school environment. Through play, storytelling, and guest readers, Little Lanterns prepares children for their educational journey and fosters a strong sense of belonging making it a cornerstone of community and pastoral care.
