Ngoolgab-gerring Playgroup St Joseph’s Kununurra

Ngoorlab-gerring Playgroup (‘for playing’ in Miriwoong) works with Aboriginal families to create an environment for their children to thrive within. The program is designed to empower Aboriginal families to actively participate in their child’s education and enrich the school community. Supported by Playgroup staff, families engage in the principles of the Abecedarian approach, to create connected paths to learning. This evidence-based approach to teaching and learning provides a strong starting point for schooling at St Joseph’s School. Through a number of partnerships, Ngoorlab-gerring Playgroup offer families opportunities to come together and share in their family’s educational journey.
