St John Bosco College PIARA WATERS
St John Bosco College’s ANZAC Day service united students, staff, and families through the sharing of personal accounts of relatives who served in World War I and II. These powerful ancestral stories from members of the College community helped create an inclusive, pastoral event that honoured sacrifice and promoted empathy. Rooted in Catholic values, the service emphasised human dignity, compassion, and connection—helping students see the ANZACs as real people, linked to their community. This initiative fostered learning, wellbeing, and Gospel-inspired unity, reinforcing the College’s mission to build a Christ-centred community where every story matters and all are fully supported.
