Emmaus Catholic Primary School DAYTON
Plant Grow Thrive transformed a simple Yarning Circle and Bush Tucker Space into a living hub of belonging, wellbeing, culture and connection. Co-created by students, staff, families and community partners, the space honours Whadjuk Noongar culture through the six seasons, native bush tucker and caring for Country. Students learn, yarn, read, garden and reflect, whilst families are offered many opportunities to contribute and participate. Supporting classroom learning and pastoral care, the inclusive space has strengthened relationships and created genuine community ownership. More than a garden, Plant Grow Thrive is a growing legacy of connection, inclusion and Journeying Together.
Please note the People’s Choice award is across all categories and each individual is only entitled to one vote.
