Clontarf Aboriginal College WATERFORD
This initiative immersed Year 12 First Nations students in a dynamic podcasting program that blended storytelling, cultural identity and future pathways. Students planned, wrote scripts, recorded and produced podcasts, they used their voices to share their experiences while developing literacy, digital and communication skills. Through opportunities such as Heywire, students engaged with ABC journalists and gained insight into real-life pathways. The program strengthened confidence, engagement and cultural pride, while improving learning outcomes. Staff embedded culturally responsive practices, and students demonstrated increased attendance. This initiative reflects CEWA’s Vision for Learning by fostering belonging, excellence and innovation in meaningful, student-centred ways.
