RULER: Authentic Wellbeing

St Mary's Donnybrook has embarked on a transformative journey in 2023, through the implementation of the RULER program. RULER is a systematic approach to social and emotional learning and we have prioritised emotional literacy in our students, staff, and community. RULER empowers students with essential skills to navigate their feelings and recognises that emotional well-being underpins academic success. The program introduces strategies like emotions check-ins and development of class charters to promote a positive and supportive classroom environment. Students have reported a greater sense of ownership over their school environment and an “Emotions Matter” mindset is being fostered in the school.
