Our Lady of Mercy Primary School GIRRAWHEEN
Seeds of Change empowered Year 6 students to become active stewards of creation through authentic, student-led learning inspired by Laudato Si’. Students explored local biodiversity, participated in habitat restoration and developed a community initiative to make biodiversity conservation accessible to all. Through partnerships with a conservation organisation, students sourced endemic native seeds and created educational resources that encourage residents to support local flora, fauna and habitats from home. By combining environmental action, community education and advocacy, the project fosters a shared commitment to caring for creation and protecting local biodiversity for future generations.
