Matthew Gibney Catholic Primary School HIGH WYCOMBE
The Year 4 Charity Garden has become a vibrant, hands-on learning space where students develop practical skills while living out the values of service, stewardship and compassion. Through planting, nurturing and selling organic produce and worm tea, students apply their learning across Science, Mathematics, English, HASS and Religious Education. They collect and analyse data, write persuasive texts, investigate sustainable practices and learn about caring for God’s creation through Laudato Si’. Most importantly, students experience the joy of giving, with all proceeds supporting local Lifelink charities, demonstrating that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference in the community.
Please note the People’s Choice award is across all categories and each individual is only entitled to one vote.
