The 2023 Clontarf Aboriginal College Men’s Forum

The 2023 Clontarf Aboriginal College Men’s Forum was a gathering of male guardians from all around Western Australia to discuss important issues relating to the wellbeing of their sons whilst living and learning away from home. The forum utilised culturally appropriate strategies including yarning to identify and unpack College and family concerns that influence the success of young people at boarding school. The forum also provided a safe environment for students to share their dreams and challenges and learn more about the supports that are in place for them at the College and for staff to gain from this two-way learning opportunity.
