The Fabric of Our School

Twenty-five years ago, St Helena Catholic Primary School’s inaugural school community created a quilt to celebrate the opening of Western Australia’s newest Catholic primary school. A quarter of a century later, the current school community crafted a commemorative quilt reflecting the school’s growth and values. Students, families, staff, and parish groups contributed squares representing classes, clubs, and key programs. A mini museum and social media campaign deepened engagement, fostering reflection and connection. The initiative honoured the past, celebrated the present, and promoted wellbeing through participation and storytelling. It showcased the school’s commitment to pastoral care, community spirit, and student voice.
