The journey of the Josephite Cross initiative celebrates Irene McCormack Catholic College’s heritage, weaving the teachings of Jesus, the Josephites and Irene McCormack into the College’s daily life and profoundly impacting the spiritual journey of students, staff, and community. The Josephite Cross and the Josephite Teaching Cross embody their Josephite heritage and Christ-centred faith. Handcrafted by teacher Philip Kieran from repurposed Australian hardwoods, these Crosses reflect their deep connection to their Catholic identity and the legacy of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of the Sacred Heart.
