Beyond Grades: Building a Culture of Personal Excellence

Beyond Grades: The Pursuit of Personal Excellence is Trinity College’s whole-school framework for explicitly teaching, assessing and celebrating the learning behaviours that underpin lifelong success. Grounded in the College’s Spirit Ambitions, Vision for Learning and inspired by the legacy of Alaric Pinder Boor, the initiative develops Personal Excellence through five Student Work Attributes, supported by the Attribute Point Average (APA). The framework empowers students to reflect, grow and strive for their personal best while providing teachers, parents and leaders with a shared language that strengthens learning, recognises excellence and supports timely intervention.
