Walker Learning Pedagogy

St Benedict’s School APPLECROSS

St Benedict’s School’s implementation of the Kathy Walker Pedagogy has positively impacted student wellbeing, engagement, and ownership of learning. Through investigations, intentional teaching, and project-based learning, students are becoming confident, curious, and independent learners. Classrooms are calm, inclusive, and collaborative, creating safe and supportive environments where students feel valued and emotionally ready to learn. This has strengthened self-regulation, peer relationships, and a genuine love of learning. Staff have deepened their understanding of developmental and differentiated practices within a culture of collaboration and care. The pedagogy is now embedded in the school’s culture and aligns with CEWA’s Vision for Learning.
