Year 12 Tradition of Giving

Our Lady of Mercy College has been participating in local can drives for community organisations since its foundation in 2020. In 2021, two students from the Graduating Class decided to make a donation of 100 cans of baked beans and spaghetti, laying down the challenge to future graduating classes to meet or better their donation. Year 12 students in 2022 and 2023 have embraced the challenge by pooling resources and raising the bar of donated items. What a wonderful example of compassion for younger students. Local community groups such as St Vinnies and the Salvos have benefitted from their generosity.
